To all People To whome these presents Shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Samuel CARTER of the town of Killingworth in ye County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England Ship Right for and in consideration of the sum of our pounds money to me in hand before the Ensealeing and delivery hereof well and truly paid by Samuel PRATT of s'd Killingworth the Receipt where of I Do hereby acknowledge & my self therewith fully satisfied and Contented and there of for my self my heirs Executors and administrators Do Exonerate acquit & Discharge the s'd Samuel PRATT his heirs and assigns forever by these presents Have Given Granted Bargained Sold Enffofed conveyed and Confirmed and Do by these presents hereby freely fully and absolutly give Grant Bargain sell allien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Sam'll PRATT his heirs and assigns forever a Certain Parcell of Land scituate Lying and being on ye East side of my home Lott begining at a heap of stones thence Runing southeasterly fourteen Rods to a heap of stones thence northerly twenty and three Rods and one half as the highway Runs to a heap of stones thence southwesterly seventeen Rods to the first mentioned Corner containing three quarter of an acre and twenty square Rods Bounded Every way by highways To Have and To Hold s'd Granted and Bargained premises with all the appurtenances privilidges and Comodities to the same Belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the s'd Samuel PRATT his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only propper use benifit and behoof forever and I the s'd Samuel CARTER for me my heirs Executors and administrators Do hereby Covenant Promise and grant to and with the s'd Samuel PRATT his heirs and assigns ye at the time of the Ensealeing and delivery hereof I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Bargained premises an dhave in my self good Right full power and Lawfull authority to sell and dispose of the same in manner of above s'd and that the s'd Samuel PRATT his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever here after by force and virtue hereof Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie possess and Injoy the s'd Demised and Bargained premises with all the appurtenances privilidges and Comodities there of free and Clear and freely & Clearly Exonerated acquitted and discharged of an from all and all manner of former and other Gifts Grants Bargains sales Leases mortgages and all Encumbrances in ye Law whatsoever furthermore I the s's Samuel CARTTER for my self my heirs Executors and administrators Do bind my self and them firmly by these presents to warrant and Defend the s'd Samuel PRATT his heirs & assigns in the peaceable and quiet possession of all and singular the s'd Granted premises against ye Just and Lawfull claimes of any person or persons whomsoever In witness whereof I ye s'd Samuel CARTER have hereunto set my hand and seale this 19th Day of may AD: one thousand seven hundred thirty and five
