Know all Men by these Presents, That I Jared CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex and State of Connecticut for divers good causes and considerations thereunto moving, especially for the sum of forty dollars received to my full satisfaction of Normand LYMAN of Hartford County of Hartford State aforesaid have remised, released, and forever quit-claimed, and do by these presents for myself and my heirs & assigns justly and absolutely remise, release, and forever quit-claim unto the said Normand LYMAN and to his heirs and assigns forever, all such right and title as I the said Jared CARTER have or ought to have in or to a certain tract or parcel of meadow lying in Killingworth in the first society of Killingworth at or near a place called ALLENS Point, Bounded Southeasterly on s'd point, Northerly on Creek, It being a parcel of meadow I had of Elias RUTTY, and said meadow has been since attached by the s'd LYMAN, Containing by estimation one acre be the same more or less.

To have and to hold the premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Normand LYMAN and his heirs and assigns, to the only use and behoof of the said LYMAN and his heirs and assigns forever; so that neither I the said CARTER nor my heirs, or any other person or persons for or in my name and behalf, shall or will hereafter claim or demand any right or title to the premises, or any part thereof, but they and every of them, shall by these presents be excluded and forever barred.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty seven
