Deed from Daniel CARTER 2nd to Lyman KELSEY

TO ALL PEOPLE TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME-Greeting: Know Ye, That I Daniel CARTER 2nd of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut for the consideration of one hundred and twenty five dollars received to my full satisfaction of Lyman KELSEY of said Killingworth do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Lyman KELSEY his heirs and assigns forever the one half of an undivided tract of Land containing by estimation one acre of land be it more or less together with one half of a dwelling house thereon standing being the one half of the house and land which I together with James SPENCER purchased of Joseph BUELL said land is situated in the first society of Killingworth and bounded Easterly on highway, Southerly & Westerly on land of said Lyman KELSEY & Northerly on the heirs of David ROSSETTER.

To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Lyman KELSEY his heirs and assigns for ever, to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also, I the said Daniel CARTER 2d do for myself and my heirs, executors, and administrators, covenant with the said Lyman KELSEY his heirs and assigns; that at and until the ensealing these presents I am well-seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee-simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same if free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

And furthermore, I the said Daniel CARTER 2d do by these presents bind myself and my heirs for ever, to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to him the said Lyman KELSEY his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of December Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and twenty six.
