To all Christian People to whom these presents shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Robert CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut In New England for a valluable Consideration to me in hand paid before the Ensealeing here of by Daniel HURD of the afor s'd Killingworth the Receipt where of I Do hereby acknowledge Have Given Granted Bargained sold aliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do freely fully and absolutely Give Grant Bargain sell alien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Daniel HURD his heirs and assigns forever a Certain parcell of Land scituate in Killingworth afore s'd it being a piece of the southerly End of the seventh division Laid out to Thomas HULL as it lyeth by the Brook Called Bridg Brook in length Eastwardly and westardly Cross the Breadth of s'd Division forty one Rods and a half in Breadth fifteen Rods & Eight feet Bounded Northerly by the Remainder of s'd Division Every way by the Common s'd granted Land Containing four acres To Have and To Hold the s'd Granted four acres of Land with all the appurtenances privilidges and Comodities there on being to him the s'd Daniel HURD his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own propper use benifit and behoof forever and I the s'd Robert CARTER for my self my heirs Executors and administrators Do Covenant promise and Grant to and with the s'd Daniel HURD his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing here of I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Bargained premises and have in my self Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner as above s'd and that the s'd Daniel HURD his heirs and assigns shall and may from time and at all times forever here after by force and virtue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie possess and Injoy the s'd Demised premises free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of an from all and all manner of former and other Gifts Grants Bargains sales or Incumbrances in the Law whatsoever moreover I the s'd Robert CARTER for my self my heirs Executors and administrators Do Covenant and Ingage the above Granted premises unto him the s'd Daniel HURD his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever forever here after to warrant secure and Defend In witness where of I the s'd Robert CARTER have here unto set my hand and seale this nineteenth Day of December Anno=Dom. 1727: and in the first year of his majesties Reign George the Second King of Great Brittain &c
