To all People to whom these Presents shall come,--GREETING.

KNOW YE, That I William CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex and State of Connecticut for the consideration of one hundred and thirteen dollars received to my full satisfaction of Oliver HULL Jun'r & Hiel HULL of the same town County & State aforesaid Do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Oliver HULL Jun'r & Hiel HULL their heirs and assigns forever one certain parcel or tract of land in the Town of Killingworth with a Carriage Shop thereon standings. it being the shop John WATERHOUSE now occupies. It being in the westerly part of s'd town and on the Stage road. Beginning at the southwesterly corner of s'd land near the wharf, running northerly one rod & twenty three links, thence eastwardly eight rods and four links, thence two rods & ? links, thence southwards & ? & an half links to a stone on the first mentioned corner. Containing thirty three rods of land be the same more or less. Bounded westerly by Elias HURD, northerly by David BUELL, eastwardly by my own land & southwardly by ? road.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Oliver HULL Jun'r & Hiel HULL their heirs and assigns forever, to their and their own proper use and behoof. And who, I the said William CARTER do for myself and my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Oliver HULL Jun'r & Hiel HULL their heirs and assigns that at and until the ensealing these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

AND FURTHERMORE, I the said William CARTER do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever, to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to him the said Oliver HULL Jun'r & Hiel HULL their heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th day of February Anno Domini One thousand eight hundred and seventeen
