Deed from Samuel CARTER to Adam CRAMER

To all People to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye That I Samuel CARTER of Saybrook, in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for ye consideration of Seven Hundred and twenty five pounds in Bills of Credit of the old tenor Received to my full satisfaction of Adam CRAMER of Norwich in the County & Colony aforesaid Do give grant Bargain sell and confirm unto the said Adam CRAMER his heirs & assigns forever One certain tract or parcel of land scituat lying and being in the Parish of Chester in ye Township of Saybrook aforesaid Containing about forty acres with the Mansion House a Barn Grist Mill and Saw Mill thereon standing, Bounded Northerly on the highway leading out from the County Road towards Cedar swamp Easterly by the lands of Jonathan DUNK, Southerly on the line dividing between Pataquonke land Potopague Quarter, West on lands belonging to the heirs of Robt. BATE deceased, be the same for number of acres more or less.

To Have and to Hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Adam CRAMER his heirs & assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof, And also I the said Samuel CARTER Do by these presents for myself my heirs executors and administrators Covenant with the said Adam CRAMER his heirs and assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of ye premises as a good Indefeasible estate in fee simple & have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner & form as is above written and that the same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever. And Furthermore I the said Sam'll CARTER do by these presents Bind myself my heirs & assigns forever to Warrant Defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said Adam CRAMER his heirs & assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twentieth day of May in the 20th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second of Great Brittain &c., King Annoque Domini 1747.
