TO ALL PEOPLE TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME-Greeting.

Know Ye, That we George CARTER and Jared CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex and State of Connecticut for the consideration of two hundred three Dollars and two cents received to our full satisfaction of Henry Alexander WRIGHT of s'd Killingworth do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Henry Alexander WRIGHT his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract of land in the first society of Killingworth together with that part of a dwelling house standing thereon being the whole of the property which was set off to us in the dwelling house and homestead late the property of Jonathan WRIGHT on two executions in and for? Against said Jonathan WRIGHT described as follows viz. Beginning at the south west corner of land set off to Abiel A. LOOMIS on an execution, being formerly westerly by highway thirteen feet to a heap of stones, thence running northerly five rods and two links to a heap of stones, party by land and partly by that part of said house which was set off to James LAY on an exeuction thence running easterly twelve feet by land set off to Abiel A. LOOMIS on an execution, five rods and to links to a heap of stones at the first mentioned corner. Bounded southerly by highway and partly by James LAY, northerly and easterly by Abiel A. LOOMIS containing twelve feet long the through the whole width of said house on the western part beginning at the underline._

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained Premises, with the Appurtenances thereof unto him the said Henry Alexander WRIGHT his Heirs and Assigns for ever, to his and their own proper Use and Behoof. And also, we the said George CARTER and Jared CARTER do for ourselves our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, covenant with the said Henry Alexander his Heirs and Assigns, that at and until the ensealing these Presents we are well-seized of the Premises as a good indefeasible Estate in Fee-Simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

And furthermore, we the said George CARTER and Jared CARTER do by these presents bind ourselves and our Heirs for ever, to WARRANT and defend the above granted and bargained Premises, to him the said Henry Alexander WRIGHT his Heirs and Assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

In Witness whereof, we have hereunto set our Hands and Seals this second day of January Anno Domini 1824
