Deed from Daniel CARTER to Silas CARTER

To all People to whom these Presents shall come, -- GREETING:
KNOW YE, That I Daniel CARTER of Killingworth County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut for the consideration of twenty Dollars received to my full satisfaction of Silas CARTER of the same town & Do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Silas CARTER his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land lying in said Killingworth in the first society westerly from the dwelling house of the said Silas CARTER, it being butted and bounded as follows viz Westerly partly on Land belonging to said Daniel CARTER, partly on land belonging to Friend WHITTLESEY and partly on land belonging to the heirs of James KELSEY deceased, southerly on Thatcher LANE's land, easterly on said Silas CARTER's land & northerly on the land of David WRIGHT containing by estimation four acres of land be the same more or less.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained Premises, with the Appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Silas CARTER his Heirs and Assigns for ever, to his and their own proper Use and Behoof. And also, I the said Daniel CARTER do for myself & my Heirs, Executors and Administrators, covenant with the said Silas CARTER his Heirs and Assigns, that at and until the ensealing of these Presents, I am well seized of the Premises as a good indefeasible Estate in Fee Simple: and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as above written; and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever. And furthermore, I the said Daniel CARTER do by these presents bind myself and my Heir, for ever to WARRANT and defend the above granted and bargained Premises to him the said Silas CARTER his Heirs and Assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the seventh day of April Anno Domini 1824
