Deed from Silas CARTER to Hubbel CARTER 2d

To all people to whom these presents shall come Greeting-

Know ye that I Silas CARTER of Killingworth County of Middlesex and State of Connecticut for divers good causes and considerations moving especially for the sum of fifty dollars received to my full satisfaction of Hubbel CARTER 2d of the town County & State aforesaid have remised released and forever quit-claimed and by these presents for myself & my heirs do fully clearly & absolutely remise release and forever quit-claim unto the s'd Hubbel in his full and peaceable possession and scisin and to his heirs and assigns forever all such right estate title interest & demand whatsoever as I the s'd Silas had or ought to have in or to a certain piece of land lying in Killingworth. Bounded as follows viz: easterly on Josiah CARTER's land, south & westerly on Hubbel CARTER's and northerly on Highway. Containing about three acres and twenty four rods and known by the name of Hubbel's orchard-

To have and to hold all my right and title in and to said remised released and quit-claimed premises with the appurtenances thereof unto the said Hubbel his heirs & assigns to the only use and behoof of the s'd Hubbel his heirs and assigns forever; so that neither I the said Silas nor my heirs or any other person or persons for me or in my name or their names nor in the name right or stead of any of them shall or will by any way or means hereafter have claim challenge or demand any estate right title or interest of in or to the premises or any part or parcel thereof but from all and every action right estate title interest and demand of in or to the premises or any part or parcel thereof they and every of them shall be utterly excluded and barred forever by these presents.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 29th day of June in the Year of our Lord 1815 - and in the 39th year of the Independence of the United States of America.-
