Deed from Jesse and Lucinda Carter, Artemisa LYNN to James LYNN

To all People to whom these Presents shall come:--Greeting.

Know Ye, That We Jesse CARTER Lucinda CARTER & Artemisa LYNN all of the Town of Greenwich and State of New York

for the consideration of eleven Hundred Dollars

Received to my full satisfaction of James LYNN of Killingworth State of Connecticut

Do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said James & to his heirs & assigns forever the following tracts or parcels of land (viz) one piece or lot of land lying in the Town of Killingworth containing one acre more or less with a Barn standing thereon, Bounded west & south on highway, eat on Samuel DAVIS' land, north on Sylvanus HULL's land-One piece of wood land lying in the Town of Guilford at a place called dead hills containing twenty acres more or less, Bounded west on Elijah HUBBARD's land, south on Solomon CONE's land east on Thomas STRONG & Jacob HARRISON's land North on said James LYNN's land. One piece or lot of land lying in Guilford and Killingworth containing five acres more or less, bounded west on highway, north & south on said James LYNN's land, on Lemuel DAVIS & lands belonging to the heirs of Cornwell FRANCIS Dec'd. Also one other piece or lot of land lying in Killingworth & Guilford, containing seventy acres more or less, Bounded south & east on highway northerly on James LYNN's land, west on Sylvanus HULL and Sylvanus HULL Jun'r land

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said James LYNN & his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof. Andalso, we the said Jesse-Lucinda & Artemisa do for ourselves and our heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said James LYNN & his heirs and assigns; that at and until the ensealing these presents we are well seized of the premises, as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as it is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

AND FURTHERMORE, we the said Jesse CARTER Lucinda CARTER & Artemisa LYNN do by these present bind ourselves and our heirs forever, to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to him the said James LYNN & to his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

IN WITNESS whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seals this day Eleventh day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen.
