Deed from Hubbel CARTER to Hubbel CARTER 2d
To all People to whom these Presents shall come:--GREETING.
KNOW Ye, That I Hubbel CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex
for the consideration of Sixteen dollars--.
Received to my full satisfaction of my son Hubbel CARTER 2d of said Killingworth which s'd 16 dollars is to be reckoned or c?? to the s'd Hubbel 2d as so much portion out of my Estate at my Decease I do for the above consideration
Do give, grant, bargain, fell, and confirm unto the said Hubbel 2d his heirs & assigns forever-a certain tract or parcel of land situated & lying in s'd Killingworth on the East end of HURD lot so called - bounded west and south on my land - East on Josiah CARTER's land -- & north of the Highway - Beginning at the northwest corner of s'd land at a heap of stones - thence southerly 36 rods, and seven links to an Oak Bush in a Ledge - Thence East 12 rods, & 17 links to a blackoak tree - thence north 37 rods, & 17 links to a heap of stones - thence west 14 rods, on s'd highway to the first mentioned corner - containing about three acres & 22 rods to be the same more or less.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Hubbel 2d his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof, at the same time reference to myself my heirs & assigns ha?? Of the fence on the west side & southend of s'd land-And also the s'd Hubbel do for my self and my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Hubbel 2d his heirs and assigns; that all and until the ensealing these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.
AND FURTHERMORE, I the said Hubbel
Do by these presents, bind y self and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to him the said Hubbel his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.
IN WITNESS whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 6th day of September Anno Domini 1805
