Know all men by these presents that I Benjamin CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England for a valluable Consideration by me in hand Received before the Ensealeing hereof of my Honr'd father Robert CARTER of the afore s'd Killingworth Have Given Granted Bargained Remies Released quit Claimed Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do for my self my heirs Executors and administrators Give Grant Remis Release and forever quit Claim unto him the s'd Robert CARTTER his heirs and assigns forever all such Right title Interest Claime or Demand whatsoever which I my self Ever had now have or which I my heirs Executors or administrators in time to Come ought or should have or Claime of in or unto a Certain tract or parcel of Land scituate Lying and being at a place Called Sapus near a meadow Called Cranes meadow Bounded as followeth (viz) begining at the southeasterly corner near Saybrook line at a stake and heap of stones Runing thence westerly to a Blackoak staddle marked stones about it thence southerly to a white oak tree standing in the Line between John CARTER's & my own Land thence northwesterly to a Black oak tree marked stones Cast about it thence Easterly to a Chestnut tree marked standing in Saybrook line thence southerly to the first mentioned Corner be it for quantity or number of acres more or Less Bounded Easterly by Saybrook line southerly by my own Land westerly John CARTER's Land and northerly in part by the Land of Ens'n John SHETHER & part by he Land of Sam'll PLATTE: To Have and To Hold the above Remises Granted and Released premises with all the appurtenances privilidges and Comodities to the same Belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the s'd Robert CARTER his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever so that neither I the s'd Benjamin CARTER my heirs Executors or administrators or any other person or persons in the name Right or sted of us or of Either of us or of them shall or will by any way or means whatsoever here after have Challenge or Demand my Estate Right title or interest or Demand of in or to the above Remised premises or any part or parcel thereof but we and Every of us and them shall be utterly Excluded and forever debared by these presents In witness whereof I the s'd Benjamin CARTER have hereunto set my hand and seale this twenty seventh Day of December AD 1739
