To all Christian People to whome these presents Shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Robert CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England for and in Consideration of vallue in hand Received of my Son Samuel CARTER of the afore s'd Killingworth the Receipt where of I Do hereby acknowledge and my self therewith fully satisfied Contented and paid here therefore Given Grante Bargained Sold aliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do fully freely Clearly and and absolutly Give Grant Bargain Sell alien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Samuel CARTER his heirs and assigns forever a Certain tract or parcel of Land Lying at a place Called Crambery Brook it being a part of my 8th Division & my 11th & 12th Divisions being all in one Intire piece and Bounded as followeth, begining at a Red oak tree marked stones Cast about it on the East Side of the River Called mammquetesit River thence northerly seventy Rods to a Beach tree marked S C thence northward twenty Eight Rods to a Chestnut tree marked stones about it thence westerly thirteen Rods to a butternut Bush marked standing in a thick place of Rocks thence southerd sixty Eight Rods to a white oak standing near the River marked with S C thence southeasterly thirty Eight Rods to the first Corner Containing ten acres and a half Bounded Every way by Common Land as by the survey on Record will fully appear: To Have and To Hold the above Bargained and Granted premises with all the privilidges & appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the s'd Samuel CARTER his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only propper use benefit and behoof forever & I the s'd Robert CARTER for my self my heirs Executors & administrators Do Covenant promise and Grant to and with the s'd Samuel CARTER his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing hereof I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Granted premises and have in my self Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and Sell the same in manner of above s'd and that the s'd Samuel CARTER his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever hereafter by force and vertue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie possess and Injoy the above granted premises with the appurtenances free and Clear freely and Clearly acquited Exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of former gifts, grants, bargains, sales, Leases, mortgages Entailes or Incumbrances the Law whatsoever moreover I the s'd Robert CARTER for my self my heirs Executors and administrators Do promise and Engage the above Granted premises with the appurtenances to him the s'd Samuel CARTER his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever forever here after to warrant secure and defend In witness whereof I the s'd Robert CARTER have here unto set my hand and seale this 30th Day of June AD 1737: and in the Eleventh year of the Reign of our sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Brittain &c
