To all Christian People to whom these presents shall Come Greeting Know ye that we Joseph and Abigail CARTER of Killingworth in ye County of Newlondon and Coloney of Connectiuct in New England for and in Consideation of thirteen pounds shillings current money to us in hand paid before the Ensealeing of these presents by Benjamin CARTER of s'd Town County and Colney afore s'd the Receipt where of we Do hereby acknowledge have given granted Bargained sold alliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do fully freely and absolutly Give Grant Bargain sell allien Convey & Confirm unto him the s'd Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns forever a certain Tract of salt meadow scituate in the ye Township of Killingworth afore s'd Lying in a field Called and Known by ye name of the neck in s'd Killingworth near the mouth of hamanasuk River as it lyeth Buted and Bounded northerly upon the Bank or upland southerly upon said River Eastelry upon the meadow of Gideon ALLIN and westerly on the medow of Lt. John STEEVENS be it for quantity more or less: it being all our Interest in s'd piece of meadow which was set to to s'd Abigail CARTER as part of her Dowry of her father Jn'o NETTELTON's Estate Late of s'd Killingworth Des'd To Have and To Hold the s'd piece of meadow here in Granted with all the appurtenances pirivilidges & Comodites to the same belonging or in any wis apertaining to him the s'd Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns forever to his & their only prpper use benifit and behoof forever free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and dischargef of and from all and all maner of former gifts grants Bargains sales or other incumbrances in the Law whatsoever more over we the s'd Joseph and Abigail CARTER's for our selves our heirs Executors & administrators Do Dovenant promise and grant to and with the s'd Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing here of we are the true sole and Lawfull owners of the s'd Bargained premises and have Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner of above s'd and hereby Bind and oblige any ?? heirs Executors and administrators to warrant secure and defend the s'd Granted premises forever to him ye s'd Benjamin CARTER his heirs & assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever In witness whereof we the s'd Joseph CARTER and Abigail CARTER have here unto set our hands and seales this twenty first Day of Jane'y AD 1735/6
