Deed from Robert CARTER to his Daughter, Mary CARTER

To all Christian people to whome these presents shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Robert CARTER of Killingworth in the County of New London and Coloney of Conecticut in New England for Divers good Causes and Considerations me hereunto moveing but more Especially my parentallous and tender Regard to my Daughter Mary CARTER of the town County and Coloney afores'd wherefore I the s'd Robert CARTER Have Given Granted Bargained Sold alienated Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do fully freely Clearly & absolutely Give Grant Bargain sell allien Convey and Confirm unto the said Mary CARTER her heirs and assigns Forever a Certain Tract or parcell of Land situate lying and being in the additional Grant to the township of Killingworth afore s'd lying near Durham line lying of the Southeast Corner at a beach tree marked thence Running northwest forty Rods to a white oak tree marked thence southwest seventy four Rods to another oak tree marked thence south forty Rods to an ash tree thence No Easterly seventy four Rods to the first mentioned Corner Containing sixteen acres-Bounded southeast by Land Laid out to Benjamin GRISWOULD north by Land Laid out to M'r EliotEvery way Elce by Common Land or however afterwile now Bounded or Reputed to be Bounded To Have and To Hold the above Granted premises with all the appurtenances privilidges & Comodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to her the s'd Mary CARTTER her heirs and assigns for ever and I the s'd Robert CARTTER for my self my heirs Executors & administrators Do Covenant Grant and promise to & with y'e s'd Mary CARTTER her heirs and assigns that before the Enselaing and delivery of these presents I am the true Sole & Lawfull owner of the above Granted premises and have in my self Good Right full power & Lawfull authority to Bargain Give and sell the premises in manner of above s'd and that the s'd Mary CARTTER her heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever hereafter by force and vertue of these presents lawfully ? and quietly have Hold use occupie possess and Enjoy the above granted premises freely acquitted and discharged from all Incumbrances in the Law whatsoever & I the s'd Robert CARTER do hereby bind and oblig? S'd Granted premises forever to her the s'd Mary CARTER her heirs and assigns so Ever forever here after to warrant In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale this twenty Eighth Day of March AD 1735
