To all Christian People to whome these presents shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Robert CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England for a valluable Consideration to me in hand paid before the Ensealeing hereof by my son Samuel CARTTER of the town County and Coloney afore s'd Have Given Granted Bargained sold Aliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do fully freely Clearly and absolutely Give Grant Bargain sell alien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Samuel CARTTER his heirs and assigns forever a Certain tract or parcell of Land scituate in the Township of Killingworth afores'd lying on the hill Called the Blackoak hill on the westerly side of Tower hill it being part of a Lott I purchased of George CHATFIELD and all the Remainder of s'd Lott which I sold to Samuel KELCEY s'd Remainder Containing seven acres & a half and twenty rods Bounded northerly by the Land of Samuel KELCEY westerly by the Land of Samuel CARTER southerly and Eastardly by Common Land To Have and to Hold the above Granted premises with all the appurtenances privilidges and Comodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the s'd Samuel CARTTER his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only propper use benifit and behoof forever and I the s'd Robert CARTTER for myself my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant Promise and Grant to and with the s'd Samuel CARTTER his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing here of I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Granted premises and have in myself good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner of above s'd and that the s'd Samuel CARTTER his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever here after by force and virtue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie possess and Enjoy the s'd Granted premises with the appurtenances free & Clear freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of former or other Gifts Grants Bargains sales Leases mortgages Wills Joyntures Dowryes Entailes or Incumbrances in the Law whatsoever moreover I the s'd Robert CARTER for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant and Engage the above Granted premises to him the s'd Samuel CARTTER his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever forever hereafter to warrant secur and defend In witness where of I the s'd Robart CARTTER have here unto set my hand and seale this nineteenth Day of April Anno=Don'e, one thousand seve hundred and thirty two and in the fifth year of the Reign of our sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Brittain &c
