To All Christian People to whome these presents Shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Samuel CARTTER of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England for a valluable Consideration to me in hand paid before the Ensealing here of by my Brother Benjamin CARTTER of the afores'd Killingworth the Receipt whereof I Do hereby acknowledge Have Given Granted Bargained sold alliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents Do fully freely Clearly and absolutly Give Grant Bargain sell allien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Benjamin CARTTER his heirs and assigns forever the southernmost part of a Certain tract or parcell of Land which belongeth to me by purchase of Samuel KELCEY of the afore s'd Killingworth scituate lying and being near a meadow Called CRANE's meadow in the township of Killingworth afros s'd Bounded as followeth begining at the southeast Corner of a Blackoak staddle marked stoans Cast about it runing thence northerly forty Eight Rods to a stake stoans Cast about it thence westerly fifty five Rods to a Red oak tree marked with H:C: thence southerly forty Eight Rods to a Blackoak tree marked thence Eatserly five Rods to the first Corner Containing nine acres more or less Bounded Easterly by Saybrook line south by the Land of Robart CARTTER west by the Land of John CARTTER and northerly by the Land of Samuel KELCEY To Have and to Hold the s'd Granted and Bargained premises with all the appurtenances privilidges and Comodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the s'd Benjamin CARTTER his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only propper use benifit and behoff forever & I the s'd Samuel CARTTER for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant Grant and promise to and with the s'd Banjamin CARTTER his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing hereof I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Granted premises and have in my self good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner of above s'd and that the s'd Benjamin CARTTER his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever here after by force and virtue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie posess and Injoy the above granted premises with the appurtenances free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of former or other gifts grants Bargains sales Leases mortgages wills Joynturs Dowryes Entailes or Incumbrances in the Law whatsoever moreover I the s'd Samuell CARTTER for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do covenant and Ingage the above Granted premises to him the s'd Benjamin CARTTER his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whome soever forever here after to warrant secure and defend In witness whereof I the s'd Samuell CARTTER have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth Day of April Anno=Dominie one thousand seven hundred and thirty two and in the fifth year of the Reign of our sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Brittain &c
