To all Christian People to whom these presents shall come Greeting; know ye that I Benjamin CARTER of Killingworth in the County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England for a Consideration to me in hand paid before the ensealing hereof by Benjamin WRIGHT of Saybrook in the County and Collony aforesaid have given granted bargained sold alienated Conveyed and by these presents confirmed unto him the said Benjamin WRIGHT his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land scituated in Saybrook Oyster River Quarter on the West side of Horse Hill Beginning at the Southeast corner at a Wallnut tree thence Northerly twelve rods to a heap of stones thence Westerly twenty rods to a heap of stones, thence Southerly twelve rods to a heap of stones thence Easterly twenty rods to the first mentioned corner containing one acre and one half, Bounded Easterly by Benjamin WRIGHT Westerly by land of Benjamin CARTER Southerly by land of William BARBER's heirs Easterly by Benjamin WRIGHT, Northerly by Benjamin CARTER.

To Have and to Hold the said granted and bargained premises with all the appurtenances priviledges & Commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him ye said Benjamin WRIGHT his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use Benefit & behoof forever And I the said Benjamin CARTER for myself my heirs executors & administrators Do covenant promise & grant to and with the said Benjamin WRIGHT his heirs and assigns that before ye ensealing hereof I am ye true sole and lawfull owner of the above bargained premises and have in myself good right full power & lawfull authority to Bargain an sell the same in manner as abovesaid and that the ever hereafter by force & virtue of these present Lawfully peaceably and quietly have hold use charged of & from all and all manner of former or other Gifts Grants Bargains Sales or Incumbrances in the law whatsoever Moreover I the said Benjamin CARTER for myself my heirs executors & administrators Do Covenant & Engage the above Demised premises to him the said Benjamin WRIGHT his heirs and assigns the lawfull claims or demand of any person or persons whomsoever forever hereafter to Warrant Secure & Defend.

In Witness whereof I the said Benjamin CARTER have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eleventh day of March A.D. 1746 and in the Nineteenth year of ye Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Brittain &c.,
