Deed from Samuel CARTER to Simeon CHURCH
Know all men by these presents that I Sam'll CARTER of Say-Brook in ye County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England for & in Consideration of ye sum of ten Pounds in Bills of the old tenor to me in hand paid by Simeon CHURCH of Say-Brook in ye County & Colony aforesaid the Rec't whereof I do hereby acknowledged myself fully satisfied Do by these presents give grant bargain sell aliene convey & confirm unto ye said Simeon CHURCH a certain tract of land scituate lying & being in Saybrook aforesaid in Chester Parish sd land buttend and bounded Easterly on the highway or Country Rhode Westerly on the land of Mr. Jared HARRISON, Northerly on land of Benjamin TOWNER Southerly on ye highway said land containing by estimation about one acre & a half be it more or less.
To have and to Hold the above granted and bargained premises with all ye privileges & appurtenances thereunto belonging to him ye said Simeon Church his heirs & assigns forever as a free & absolute estate of Inheritance in fee simple & I the said Sam'll CARTER Do by these presents Bind myself my heirs executors & administrators To Warrant Secure & Defend the above granted & bargained premises to him the said Simeon CHURCH his heirs & assigns forever against the lawfull claims & demands of any person or persons whatsoever.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 19th day of October Annoque Domini 1745 & in the 19th year of his Majesties Reign.
