Deed from Robert CARTER to son, Joseph CARTER
Know all men by these presents that I Robert CARTER of Killingworth in County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England for a valuable consideration to me in hand paid before ye ensealing hereof by my son Joseph CARTER of ye afore'sd Killingworth ye Receipt where of I do hereby acknowledge have given granted Revised Released Quit-Claimed & confirmed & by these presents do freely fully absolutely give grant Revise Release Quit-Claim & Confirm unto him ye said Joseph CARTER his heirs & assigns forever all my Right of in & to a certain tract of land situate in ye Township of Say Brook lying in Oyster River Quarter beginning at Wallnut staddle marked stones cast about it measuring Thence Northerly Sixty six Rods to a Red Oak Tree amrked cast stones about it Thence Easterly sixty on Rods to a White Oak Tree marked stones cast about it thence Southerly sixty four Rods to a Red Oak Tree marked stones cast about it, thence Westward fifty Eight Rods to ye first mentioned corner containing twenty four acres bounded every way by common land To Have & To Hold ye said Released premises with all ye appurtaniances priviledges & Commodities to ye same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him ye said Joseph CARTER his heirs & assigns forever freely & clearly without any manner of Reclaim Chalenge or Countradiction of me ye said Robert CARTER my heirs executors or administrators & without any account Reconing or answer therefore to be given rendered or Done in time to come to me or to them so that nether I ye said Robert CARTER my heirs Executors nor administrators nor any other person or persons for me or them or in mine or their name Right or stead shall or will at any time hereafter have claim Challenge or Demand ye s'd granted premises or any per thereof but there of & there from myself & Every of us shall be utterly excluded & forever debarred by these these presents,
In Witness Whereof I ye said Rob't CARTER have hereunto set my hand & Seal this twentieth Day of January 1731/2 & in ye fifth year of his Majesties Reign George ye second King of Great Brittain
