Deed from Katherine, William, Nehemiah, Stephen Hezekiah, and Gideon BUSHNELL, John and Lydia POST to Nathan POST
To all people to whom these presents shall come greeting, how ye that wee Katherine BUSHNELL, William BUSHNELL, Nehemiah BUSHNELL, Stephen BUSHNELL, Hez: BUSHNELL, Gideon BUSHNELL, & John POST with Lidia his wife all of Saybrook in the County of New London for the consideration of Twenty one pounds in bills of Credit of the old tenor which we have in hand received to our full satisfaction of Nat'n POST of Saybrook aforesaid do give grant bargain sell & confirm unto the said Nathan POST his heirs and assigns forever all that twelve acres Right of land lying & being in Oyster River Quarter in Saybrook aforesaid at a place called Pond Meadow as it lyes in common & undivided with lands belonging to Deacon Abraham POST & his sons and inclosed with their lands which twelve acres Right is the whole of what belonged to our father Mr. William BUSHNELL late of Saybrook deceased Husband to said Katherine & Father to ye rest of the Grantors. To Have and to Hold the above granted & bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Nathan POST his heirs & assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also We the said Grantors above named do four ourselves our heirs executors and administrators Covenant with the said Nathan POST his heirs & assigns that at and untill ye ensealing of these presents we are well seized of the premises as a good Indefeasible estate in fee simple & have good right to bargain & sell the same in manner & form as is above written and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever. And Furthermore we the said Grantors do by these presents bind ourselves our heirs forever to Warrant & Defend the above granted & Bargained premises to him ye said Nathan POST his heirs & assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever. In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 13th day of March in the 19th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George ye 2nd of Great Brittain &c., Annoque Domini 1746.
