Deed from Ephraim BUSHNELL to Ephraim JONES

To all people to whom these presents shall come greeting; Know ye that I Ephraim BUSHNELL of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of Twenty six pounds five shillings old tenor which I have Received to my full satisfaction of Ephraim JONES of the same Saybrook have granted & conveyed & by these presents do give grant Bargain sell & confirm unto ye said Ephraim JONES his heirs & assigns for ever all that my fifteen acres of land lying at a place called and known by the name of ye Chestnut woods in Oyster river Quarter in ye Township of Say-Brook aforesaid bounded Northerly on Nath'll CLAKE's land Southerly on land belonging to sd Ephraim JONES & Easterly & Westerly on Common land the Northwest Corner is a Chestnut tree, all which corner trees are marked & stones about them.

To Have and to Hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the sd Ephraim JONES his heirs & assigns for ever to his and their own proper use and Behoof. And I ye said Ephraim BUSHNELL Do for myself my heirs executors & administrators Covenant with the said Ephraim JONES his heirs and assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good Indefeasible estate in Fee Simple & have good right to bargain & sell the same in manner and form as is above written; and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever. And farthermore I the said Ephr'm BUSHNELL do by these presents bind myself my heirs forever to Warrant & Defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the sd Ephraim JONES his heirs & assigns against all claims & demands whatsoever.

In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the fourth day of January in ye 19th year of ye Reign of our sovereign lord Lord George ye Second of Great Brittain &c., King Annoque Domini 1745/6
