Deed from David & Phebe BUELL, John PALMER and Gershom PALMER to Robert LAY, Senior

Know all men by these presents That we David BUELL & Phebe BUELL, John PALMER and Gershom PALMER of Killingworth in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England Divers good Causes Considerations to us thereunto moving have remised released and Quite claimed and by these presents do freely and absolutely remis release Quit Claim unto Mr. Robert LAY Sen'r of Saybrook his heirs and assigns all our right and title interest claim and demand which we any or either of us have or ought to have in or unto one certain tract of land in a place called Scots Plain in Potopague Quarter in Say-Brook aforesaid which was William FENNER's late of Saybrook Dec'd & by Capt. John FENNER Dec'd made over to him the said LAY by his deed dated February ye Second 1682 which land was conveyed as aforesaid is thug bounded viz;- Northward by the common, Westward by the Common neer the Crambery Pond Southward with the land of ye heirs of Lieut. Wm. PRATT and Eastward by the Muddy River leaving a highway neer ye Boggie Meadow for the Proprieotrs to goe to their lands.

To Have and To Hold the Released premises with the appurtenances to him the said Robert LAY and his assigns so that we the said Daniel and PHEBE Gershom and John PALMER nor either of us nor either of our heirs or assigns shall not henceforth have hold claim challenge or Demand any right, Title or estate in or unto the above released premises but from all Right Title Interest Claim or demand to the same or to any part or appurtenance thereof We and every one of our heirs and assigns shall be effectually Secluded and forever debared by these presents.

In Witness whereof we have hereunto sett our hands and seals this 4th, day of August Anno Domini 1740.

Say-Brook August 4th, 1740.
Major David BELL one of the sealers of the within written Instrument Acknowledged the same to be his deed, Before me Sam'll WILLARD Just. Peace.
