Deed from Robert BATE to Abraham POST
Know all men by these presents that I Rob't BATE of Say Brook in ye County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England for & in Consideration of ye sum of Seven Pounds five shillings money to me in hand paid by Mr. Abrah'm POST of s'd Saybrook Have given Granted Bargained sold aliened Conveyed & Confirmed & by these presents do fully freely & absolutely give grant Bargain sell aliene Convey & Confirm unto ye said POST his heirs & assigns forever a fifty pound Right in Oyster River Quarter in Saybrook aforesaid with all ye appurtainances previledges & Commodities to ye same belonging or in anywise appertaining.
To Have & Hold unto him the said Abraham POST his heirs & assigns forever all & singular ye above granted & Bargained premises with the appurtainances to his & their only proper use benefit & behoof forever free & clear & freely & Clearly acquitted exonerated & Discharged off & from all and all manner of other or former gifts grants Bargains Sales of Incumbrances whatsoever furthermore I ye s'd Robert BATE for myself my heirs executors & administrators by these presents Do promise & Ingage ye above Demised premises with ye appurtainances to him ye said Abraham POST his heirs & assigns against ye lawfull Claims & Demands of any person or persons whatsoever hereafter to Warrant Secure & Defend
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 24th day of December in ye Eleventh year of his Majesties Reign Anno Domini 1724
