Deed from Samuel BAKER (BARBER) to Joshua BUSHNELL

To all People to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I Samuel BAKER of Branford in the County of New Haven and Colony of Connecticut in New England for and in consideration of the full and just sum of Sixty four pounds Currant money of old tenor to me in hand paid by Joshua BUSHNELL of Saybrook in the County of New London and Colony aforesaid, the Receipt whereof I do acquit & forever Discharge the said Bushnell his heirs executors and administrators for and in consideration whereof I the said Sam'll BAKER have by these presents Do give grant sell and forever make sure unto him the said Joshua BUSHNELL to his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land scituated in Saybrook in the aforesaid county of New London as it lyes in Oyster River Quarter on CHALKER's Plain which land was formerly the MERRELLS containing Sixteen acres Butted and bounded Easterly by Isaac JONES Northerly by Joshua BUSHNELL West and South by highway,

To Have and to Hold the said Sixteen acres of land together with all and singular the priviledges and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any ways appertaining to him the said Joshua BUSHNELL to him his heirs executors Administrators to Warrant & Defend the said bargained premises unto the said Joshua BUSHNELL to him his heirs and assigns forever against any manner of lawfull claims or demands of any person or persons whatsoever.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Second day of December A.D. 1746.
