To all Christian People to whome these presents Shall come Greeting Know ye that I Gideon ALLEN of Killingworth in the County of New London and Coloney of Conecticut in Hew England for a valluable Consideration to me in hand paid before the Ensealeing here of by Samuel WILLCOCKS of the afore s'd Killingworth the Receipt where of I Do hereby acknowledge have Given Granted Bargained Sold aliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents do freely fully and absolutly Give Grant Bargain sell alien Convey and Confirm unto him the s'd Samuel WILLCOCKS his heirs and assigns forever a Certain tract or parcell of Land scituate in Killingworth afore s'd Lying in the Aditionall Grant at a place known by the name of pond meadow begining at the northeasterly Corner of a walnut stadle marked standing in Haddam line thence southwardly twenty Rods to a Chestnut tree marked thence Northerly seventy Rods to a white oak tree marked thence Eastwardly thirty Rods to a Chestnut tree marked thence southerly sixty Rods to the first mentioned Corner Containing Eleven acres Bounded Northwardly by Haddam Line Everyway Elce by the Common only on the s'd WILLCOCK's North East corner To Have and To Hold the s'd Granted and Bargained premises with all the appurtenances privilidges and Comodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the s'd Sam'll WILLCOCKS his heirs and assigns forever to his & their only propper use benifit and behoof for ever & I the s'd Gideon ALLEN for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant promise and Grant to and with the s'd Sam'll WILLCOCKS his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealein here of I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the above Granted premises and have in my self Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to Bargain and sell the same in manner as above s'd and that the s'd Sam'll WILLCOCKS his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever here after by force and vertue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have hold use occupie possess & Injoy the s'd Granted premises free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of an from all and all manner of former or other Gifts Grants Bargains Sales or Incumbrances in the Law whatsoever; moreover I the s'd Gideon ALLEN for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant and Engage the above Granted premises unto him the s'd Sam'll WILLCOCKS his heirs and assigns against the Lawfull Claimes or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever forever hereafter to warrant secure and defend In witness where of I the s'd Gideon Allen have here unto set my hand and seale this seventeenth Day of June Anno=Dom'I 1728 and in the second year of his majesties Reign George the second King of Great Britain &c
