Five acres of upland lying and being in Tillies point plaine being in number the sixteenth exchanged with Nathaniell RUDD. Bounded northward with the lands of Mr. John WESTALL and Eastward with the meadow land of Mr. Richard RAYMOND and Southward with the lands of David PARKER, And westward with the Country road leading to the ferry this above said exchange for the one and twentieth lott bought of John Pratt SMITH.

The lands of William BACKUS and John KIRTLAND delivered to them by the administrators of the Estate of Lieut. PRATT deceased being part of their wives portions. The lands of William BACKUS & John KIRTLAND being part of their wives portion delivered unto them by the Administrators of the estate of Lieut. William PRATT deceased, to be equally divided between them both in quantity and quality Being a Certaine point of land called Deep River plaine lying and being in Potopaug quarter begining at the head of twelve mile Island cove taking in all the plaine as far as the Deep River Bounded northwestward with the Deep River and northeastward with the great river and Southeast ward with the hills leaving a highway between the s'd land and the hills

To her kinsman John KIRTLAND

Know all persons whom it may concern, That whereas I, Susanna WESTOLL by my late husbands last will and testament I had the gift of five hundred pounds legacies and he died seased of an estate in connection of a certain little house and home lott in the town of Saybrook to be had and hold in the possession of John KIRTLAND my Bro: and his wife during their lives rent free: and after their deceased to be and remain the estate of said late husbands deceased. These presents testifie that I have given and granted and doe by these presents give and grant all that estate in reversion which I have taken as part of the aforesaid legacies left me by said husband unto my kinsman John KIRTLAND and his heirs forever: provided alwais that my said kinsman doth repair and mend and allso keep the same repaired and amended during the natural life of the relect of my Brother KIRTLAND viz: Barbarie KIRTLAND.

In testamonie hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale this nineteeth of February 1683

The Land of Samuel CHALKER willed to him by his father Alexander CHALKER

Being a point called CHALKER's point & about 47 acres of upland and meadow lying and being in Oyster River quarter and abutes north on the commons and East on the lands of Robert CHAPMAN and on a little Creek south to ditch and wall bounded on the southwest corner upon a rock in the marsh near to the ditch and so running upon a line and from that to a chestnut tree near cooks hill brook this abuts west upon the meadow & upland of Robert CHAPMAN.

This abovesaid lands was delivered to Samuell CHALKER by the executrix & ?? of the estate of Allexander CHALKER in the year 1673.

These are to signifie that I Samuell CHALKER do hereby own and acknowledge to have received according to my fathers will and the courts order my full portion both of land and other estate bequeathed tome and fully satisfied hereby discharging my mother Hill from all future payments less or more in any wise as the abovesaid premises as witness my hand this 16th day of December 1678.

Know all men by these presents that I Samuell COGSWELL of the town of Saybrook of the County of New London & Colony of Connecticut have good Consideration moving me hereunto and more particular for an Assignment of his right to certain percell of land at Kennelworth given by Mr. WESTALL to Nathaniell RUDD of Norwich bearing date herewith, Bargained sold alienated and made over unto Nathaniell RUDD of the town of Norwich & of the County and Colony aforesaid Six acres of my lott in the west field commonly called the thousand acres abutting east and north on the highway that goes to mill South on the rest of my lott and west on the land formerly belonging to Julian BULLIAR and doe by bargain sell alienate enfeoffe & make over unto s'd Nathaniell RUDD the aforesaid percell of land with all the immunities and priviledges thereunto belonging to him his heirs and assigns or any from by or under mee or heirs or assigns forever.

The lands of Joseph PARKER given him by his father William PARKER late of Saybrook Deceased June 1674

1. His home lott being eight Acres lying in the planting field Bounded north ward and westward with highwais and eastward and Southward with the lands of David PARKER.

2. One Acre more in the planting field bounded northward with the highway and Eastward with his own land bought of William BUSHNELL Senior deceased and southward with the lands of William And bounded westward with the land of John CLARKE.

3. Eight Acres of Meadow lying in Ragged Rock meadow being Bounded eastward with the meadow of William LORD deceased and Abraham CHALKER and Southward with meadow of William PARKER, And northward with the meadow of Daniell PARKER.

4. Also three acres more of meadow in Ragged Rock meadow being bounded eastward with the meadow of John BUSHNELL, And northward with the upland And westward with the meadow of William PARKER and partly with the meadow of David PARKER

5. One Acre of boggie meadow (be it more or less) lying in Potopauge Quarter at the head of the point lying westward of Tillies point

6. Allso Twenty acres of land lying at a point called or known by the name of PARKER's point in Potopauge quarter
And a hundred pound commonage in the town Comons

7. Allso a fifty pound Commonage in Potopauge quarter

8. Allso the said William PARKER Senior hath given unto his son Joseph PARKER a fourth part of the land given unto him by Joshua the Indian Sachem
And Eleven acres and two thirds parts of an acre of land at padaconke

9. And Eleven acres and two thirds of an acre of land at padaconke

10. Allso the said William PARKER deceased hath given to his grandson Joseph PARKER Twenty acres of Woodland adjoining to the land of PARKER's point

Joseph PARKER bought of Joshua BUSHNELL four acres of upland be it more or less lying and being in the upper planting field so called being bounded north ward with the highway and Eastward with the meadow land of Elizabeth FITZGERALD Sometime BULLIERS and bounded westward with the upland of Joseph PARKER late William PARKER's and bounded Southward with the meadow land of William BUSHNELL and William BEAMONT with all the priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wais appertaining as more fully appears by deed of said of sale under s'd Joshua BUSHNELL's hand and seale bearing date with this record September the 8th 1687.

This Indenture made the five and twentieth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred sixty and three in the fiftienth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland King defender of the faith &c Between William LORD of Saybrook in the Colony of Connecticut in New England yeoman on the one part and John COLLINGS Senior of Boston in the County of Suffold in New England Cordwainer on the other part Witnesseth that the said William LORD for a valuable Consideration to him in hand before the ensealing hereof well and truly paid by the abovesaid John COLLINGS whereof and wherewith the said William LORD by these presents doth acknowledge himselfe to be fully satisfied contented & paid & thereof doth exonerate acquit & discharge the said John COLLINS his heirs executors administrators and assigns & every of them for ever by these presents Doth freely clearly & absolutely give grant bargaine sell & confirm unto the said John COLLINGS his heirs and assigns forever all the parcell of upland & meadow ground in and by these presents expressed & is lying & being at Pochauge within the the compass or bound of lands commonly called Oyster River Quarter in New England (that is to say all that his own allotment being foouerty and two acres allso twelve acres bought of Frances BUSHNELL also six acres bought of Richard BUSHNELL allso six acres bought of Robert WADE allso fifteen acres bought of Robert CHAPMAN: allso Three acres bought of Robert BULL also Three acres bought of William JACKSON also nine acres bought of Thomas TRACY: also Three acres bought of Richard TOUSLAND all the which parcels of land are adjoining the one unto the other and are bounded on the east by the lands of James CORNISH on the west by the meadow on the north by a River, on the south by the sea, also Twenty acres of upland which remaineth yet to be laid out on the other side of the river as Convenient as may be according to the order of the quarter As also all the meadow belonging unto the said William LORD being bounded with the afore said upland on the east & Manunkatasik on the West that is to say all my owne allotment belonging to the estate of Two Hundred pounds also that meadow belonging to the estate of Two Hundred and fifty pounds which the said William LORD had of Robert CHAPMAN in exchange for meadow at Cooks Hill, also all the meadow belonging the estate of one hundred pound bought of Thomas TRACY: also all the meadow bought of Francis BUSHNELL belonging to a Two hundred pounds Estate also all the meadow belonging to a fifty pound estate bought of Richard TOASLAND all which parcels of meadow contain one hundred acres in all be it more or less and are bounded in their respective places as followeth that is to say one parcel of meadow butting east to Pachauge fields South to the sea West to the meadow of Thomas DUND & Alexander CHALKER North to the river & James CORNISHE's meadow, one other parcel of meadow on the other side of Pauchoge River begineth at the crotch of the river over against the hawks next and runneth along by Menunekatesak river side westward about eight rod & buts there upon the parcel of meadow belonging to John POST the next parcel of meadow begins at the west end of the homack and runs upon the north side of the homack eastward to Mr. FENWICK's meadow. The next parcel of meadow begins at the South side of the same homack at the nest & so runs by the hamacks side eastward to a parcel of meadow lying ? be James CORNISHes meadow one other parcell of meadow lying on the other side of the hithermost branch of the river and over against the house running into the upland by a small creek one other parcel of meadow of the same lying eastward and running by the river side tell it comes to the wading point: one other parcel of meadow lying along the same river eastward begins at a spring and creek that comes from the next

Cove of meadow above the next wading point and runneth up the river up the river side to the Bridg tree and allso there belongeth to that lot a small point of meadow lying next above the bridg tree and runneth up to a Creek that runs into a Cove of Meadow that is against the upper wading point. And also all the messuage Tenements or farm house standing & being on part of the upland above mentioned to be lying at Pochauge aforesaid with all other the housing or buildings whatsoever on the said lands & any part thereof now standing and being with the profits priviledges of commonage & other priviledges whatsoever to the premises belonging with the appurtenances to the said upland, messuage or farm house & Every right title interest use possession propertie claim & demand whatsoever of him the said William LORD of in or two the premises or in any part or parcell of either of them and all deeds evidences & writtings which concern the said upland & meadow or any part or parcell of either of them And coppies of such deeds evidences & writings which concerne either of the said parcells of upland & meadow with other things which he the said William LORD hath or may procure: To Have and to hold the said parcells of upland and meadow & every of them with the said messuage farmhouse and other buildings on any part of the premises now standing and being, lying & being butted and bounded as aforesaid with the profits priviledges & appurtenances to the same and either of them belonging unto the said John COLLINGS his & assigns from the five & Twentieth day of March last past forever, To the only proper use & behoof of the said John COLLINGS his heirs & assigns forever.

And the John COLLINGS his heirs executors & administrators doth covenant promise & grant to & the said John COLLINGS his heirs & assigns by these presents in manner and form as followeth (that is to say That the said William LORD at the time of the bargaine & sale of the premises to the said John COLLINS is seized of good estate n fee simple in the premises & untill the delivery hereof unto the said John COLLINGS to the use of him his heirs & assigns forever was the true & rightfull owner of the above bargained premises & that he hath in his own right full poer & lawfull authority the premises to grant bargaine sell & confirm as aforesaid And that the same & every part & parcell thereof now is and forever hereafter shall abide continue & be unto the said John COLLINGS his heirs & assigns free & clearly acquitted & discharged or otherwise by the said William LORD his heirs executors administrators & assigns saved harmless from time to time & at all times of an from all and singular former gifts grants bargains sales leases assignments mortgages entails wills judgments executioners forfeitures dowries and of and from all & singular other changes rent titles troubles incumbrances & demands whatsoever had made done or suffered to be done by the said William LORD or any other person or persons whatsoever by his or their acts means default consent or procurement.

And that the said William LORD his heirs executors & administrators the said bargargained premises & every part & parcell there of unto the John COLLINGS his heirs executors & administrators & assigns against themselves & all & every person & persons whatsoever claiming by or to claim any estate right or title or interest of in or to the same or any part or parcell thereof shall & will warrant and secure defend by these presents.

And that the said John COLLINS his heirs and assigns shall & lawfully may to his and their own proper use & behoof for ever quietly & peaceably have hold use, occupie possess & enjoy the said bargained premises & every part & parcell thereof without the least suite trouble denry all molestation eviction or disturbance of the said William LORD or his heirs

These presents declare that I, John COLLINS now of Saybrook Cordwainer do hereby for myself my heirs executors administrators & assigns & for every other of them upon good Considerations me hereunto moving & a valuable consideration to me by Richard LORD of Hartford in the Collony of Connecticut & thereof do hereby acquit exonerate & discharge the said Richard LORD his heirs executors administrators & assigns and every of the: do fully voluntarily & absolutely give grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said Richard LORD his heirs and assigns forever all my right title interest & propriety that I have or ought to have or ever had in all & every of the parcells of upland & meadow with all the priviledges of Commodities & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining mentioned in the within written deed: with all houses & fences being or standing upon any part of the said land to have hold possess enjoy occupy & improve for his the said Richard LORD or his heirs or assigns or any of them to his or their proper use & behoof forever and doe hereby entitle the said LORD his heirs & assigns as fully truly & amply in all & every of particullers written mentioned to all intents & purposes Whatsoever hereby as I the said John COLLINGS was intitled by William LORD within mentioned Covenanting & hereby granting to and with the said LORD & his heirs & assigns that I have lawfull right & authority to alienate & pass unto over him & his heirs & assigns all and every of the particularly mentioned and warrant to save himself the said LORD his heirs & assigns & every of them against himself his heirs executors administrators & assigns & every of them & all & every person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claim any right title or interest in all or any part of the particulars within mentioned shall forever defend by these presents and that the said LORD his heirs & assigns shall forever enjoy and improve all & every of the premises without the least sute trouble denials or molestation ejection or disturbance of the said John COLLINS his heirs &c or any person or persons claiming any right or title or interest by form or under me & doe hereby engage to free all the said particulars from any grant sale gift mortgage or Conveyance formerly committed acted or done by me the said John COLLINS, In Witness whereof I the said John COLLINS have hereunto set my hand & seale the twenty ninth day of March one thousand six hundred Sixty Six (alias) Sixty seven

Joseph WRIGHT's further Confirmation of his Lands in Saybrook bounds.

Whereas it doth appear by writings of agreement of bargains and sale made the thirtieth day of April Between Capt. Robert CHAPMAN William & John CLARK all of Saybrook and in behalfe of the town of Saybrook on the one part and Joseph HAND & Joseph WRIGHT of Kennelsworth and in behalf of the legatees of Benjamin WRIGHT of the other part. Referring to a parcell of land sold and bounded as in the Writtings expressed. The foresaid Joseph WRIGHT desiring a further Confirmation of assurance of the said lands The Town of Saybrook being meet together the ninth day of this Instant November Doe so far Condescend to appoint from among themselves Capt. Robert CHAPMAN John PARKER & Sergent Samuel JONES as a committee or agents in behalf of said town to give unto the said Joseph HAND & Joseph WRIGHT a more full and ample assurance Provided that the conditions of the above said first agreement referring to the said Joseph HAND & Joseph WRIGHT be fully extended which being done to the satisfaction of Capt. Rob't CHAPMAN John PARKER and Serg't Sam'll JONES.

We the abovesaid persons in the towns behalfe declare that the said Joseph HAND & Joseph WRIGHT shall peaceably and quietly possess and enjoy that whole tract of land as is bounded or sircumscribed in the aforesaid first agreement without any let or molestation from us or any of our successors Inhabitants of Saybrook or any other by or under us and that we will make good in law in case of molestation our right and title power and privelege for the sale of these lands to the said persons Joseph HAND & Joseph WRIGHT but and theires according to the true intent of that aforesaid first agreement may and shall lawfully without any trouble from us possess & enjoy the same for ever and we shall be ready to defend the same against any that shall molest or trouble to there peaceable possession and improvement of the same and in case the land should by law taken away from the said WRIGHT we do engage the return of the said money paid for the purchase which we have or shall receive this is the true intent of both parties is signified by their hands subscribed this twenty ninth of November one thousand six hundred and eighty.

Know all men that whereas upon certaine personall knowledge as well as by sufficient Testimony Mr. Jno WASTOLL in his lifetime upon mature deliberation did give and bequeath unto Nathaniell RUDD now of Norwich a Certaine peice of land formerly belonging to Robert WILLIAMS of Kenelworth Recorded by the said WASTOLL by judgment of Cost and seized and delivered by execution according to appraizals made by Mr. Edward GRISWOLD and lieftenant Henry CRANE as appeareth under their hands.

These are to declare that we whose names are subscribed and under the reasons affixed to our names do make over the whole right of the said WESTOLL in the said piece of land with all the privileges and Immunities thereunto belonging now and hereafter unto the said Nathaniell RUDD to him and his heirs or assigns to have and to hold forever to him without any molestation from us or either of us or any form by or under us for ever as witness our hands the day and year above mentioned

The Lands of John FENNER.

1. Bought of John COMSTOCK a home lot in the town of Saybrook of half an acre its is bounded the ends of it against the highways north and South the sides buts against the highway west and the land of John WASTOLL east.

2. Also another home lot of one acre & half Bounded on the east to the land of Mathew GRISWOLD And South to the lands of Mathew BELLAMY west and north to the highway, as more fully appears by a deed of sale under the said COMSTOCKS and his wives hands and seals bearing date with this record 28th of May 1675.

Articles of agreement made between Arthur FENNER of Providence in the Collony of Rock Island and providence plantations and John FENNER of potapauge in the Colony of Connecticut the other party that for a finall end of all differences between us the afores'd parties Arthur FENNER and John FENNER executors unto the last will and Testament of William FENNER, I Arthur FENNER being executor to the will of William FENNER do by this Instrument pass over unto John FENNER all the right title and interest and claim in all the lands and meadows divided & undivided unto the aforesaid William FENNER with all the houses and housing with the commonage and all the appurtenances there unto belonging and all the goods Inventories in Connecticut Collony except the horses maires and colts which are that this present undisposed of and all the debts that doth justly appear to be due unto the estate of William FENNER and unto the abovesaid premises. I the aforesaid Arthur FENNER bind myself my heirs my executors my administrators or assigns to have and keepe harmless John FENNER his heirs executors or assigns at all times from all manner of trouble that or may arise by me the aforesaid Arthur FENNER or my executors or assigns touching or concerning the aforesaid mentioned premises and also from the legacies that William FENNER gave unto the Children of Arthur FENNER and in consideration of the above said passing over of Arthur FENNER doe by this Instrument in consideration of the above mentioned premises being executor to the will of William FENNER pass over my right title interest in my purchase right within the bounds of Providence both lands and meadows divided or undivided with my full right in common being an equal right with any other purchasor in the township of Providence unto Arthur FENNER of the town of Providence to him and his heirs forever peaceably to enjoy without the let or molestation of me the aforesaid John FENNER my heirs executors & assigns. And also all my right title and interest that doth belong or appertain unto me the aforesaid John FENNER being executor to the will of William FENNER in all the lands that was formerly William FENNER's within the bounds and limits of the town of Providence I the abovesaid John FENNER doe by this Instrument pass away from myself my heirs or assigns and also the goods that were apprized in Rock Island and Providence plantation And also I John FENNER doe bind myself my heirs executors or assigns to free and discharge Arthur FENNER from all manner of legacies that was given to my Children by William FENNER and An by this Instrument Arthur FENNER and his heirs is fully acquited forever more over the above said John FENNER in consideration of Arthur FENNER abovesaid resegnation of houseing and lands unto John FENNER at Potopauge I John FENNER have passed as an executor to William FENNER's estate all the right title and interest in all the horses, maires & colts that are in Connecticut Colony or any where else unto Arthur FENNER owning them to be the true and proper right of Arthur FENNER to him his heirs or assigns to enjoy furthermore

I John FENNER doe pass over all my right and title in a negro woman that I John FENNER bought of Mr. Andrew BELCHER, And to the true performance of the above written articles I the above said John doe by these presents ingage myself my heirs executors or assigns to save and keep harmless Arthur FENNER his heirs executors or assigns from all manner of legaces debts or dues whatever that are or may be charged or the estate of William FENNER deceased from the begining of the world unto the day of the date hereof so having made and ballanced all accounts; in the true performance of each of our conditional parts all our accounts are ballanced with our interchangeable seting our hands and seals. The lands of John FENNER at Potopauge

1. Four and twenty acres of upland be it more or less with the housing barn & orchards and with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging being bounded on the east with the cove And on the South with the land of Samuell PRATT And on the west with the highway And on the north with the common or highway And on the Northeast with the lands of Nathaniel PRATT.

2. Also a hundred and fifty pound right of meadow lying in eight mil meadow in two lots-
The upper lot bounded on the east with the great river. And on the south with the lands of Robert LAY. And on the west partly with Simon LIND's land and partly with [space] And on the north with the lands of William PRATT.

3. The lower lot bounded on the east with the great river. And on the South with the lands of Simon LYNDE, And on the west with the cove, And on the north with the lands of John DENISON.

4. As also a hundred and fifty pound right in Commonage in Potopauge quarter, and to receive both of upland and meadow belonging to the said quarter. That is to be or may be hereafter laid out according to such proportion, as more fully doth appeare by a deed of sale bearing date the one and thirtieth day of October one thousand six hundred and sixty & five under Robert LAY's hand and seale.

I, Arthur FENNER of Providence being executor to the last will of William FENNER doe by this subscription pass a way all my right title & interest in all the lands and meadow above mentioned from me the aforesaid Arthur FENNER and my heirs executors or assigns to be the proper right of John FENNER to him and his heirs forever Witness my hand

Laid to be shipped away near paddeconke hill and bounded northward by the river from the Chestnut tree to Major LEVERET's medow, And bounded eastward also my Major LEVERET's meadow, and bounded southward by the Deep River until it comes to the first specified bounds And also three and forth Acres more or less of lands that is hereafter to be laid out in Potopauge quarter, that was taken of by the town of Saybrook from the aforesaid neck which is to be made good by the quarter with all the priviledges and appurtenances belonging to the aforesaid lands as more fully doth appear by a deed of sale under Robert LAY's hand and seale bearing date with this record February the 2d 1682. And where the bounds of the aforesaid land is rockie John FENNER hath liberty from the proprietors to set his fence off from the rock provided it be not predjuditial to the highway

6. It is agreed by the proprietors of the quarter that the three and forty Acres above mentioned shall be laid out unto John FENNER, on the west side of Hartford path on both sides of the Deep River westward till he hath his complement, as attest Joseph PRATT the 25th of January 1683.

67 Also forty acres more or less laid out to John FENNER deceased at a place called by the name of browns moired Bounded on the north with the land of Joseph PRATT on the east with the highway on the south with the commons on the west with the a river running down unto falls river between the said land and scotts plaine now rebounded by order of the quarter unto John FENNER by Joseph PRATT as appears by a writing signed by Joseph PRATT bearing date the 24th day of January 1683.

The lands of John FENNER at Saybrook.
Bought of David BULL two acres of upland and one acre and a half of medow (be it more or less) lying and being in the field commonly called or known by the name of the Calves pasture in Saybrook which upland and meadow formerly belonged to Richard TOUSLAND late of Saybrook deceased And now bounded on the south by the highway and on the east by the lands of Joseph INGHAM and on the west by the land of Mr. Thomas BUCKINGHAM and on the north by a Creeke with all the priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining as more fully doth appear by a deed of sale under the said David BULL's and Hannah his wife their hands and seals bearing date with this Record Aprill the nineteeth day Anno Domini 1688.

The ear marke of John FENNER for his cattle horses sheep and swine is a slitt cut into the middle of the underside of the near ear or left ear which mark was his brothers William FENNER's & he hath kept the same marke ever since his decease which was n the year 1680.

The Lands of Robert LAY Junior at Potopauge belonging to Saybrook given him by his father Robert LAY Senior

Viz: the one half of his barne and the one half of his improveable land within fence of upland and meadow and orchards upon which his housing and barn now standeth scituate and being in Potopauge quarter belonging to Saybrook as aforesaid And bounded eastward with the Cove and the great river. And Southward and westward with the lands of the heirs of Lieut. William PRATT and westward and northward with the highway leading to the water side.

Also the one half of his meadow in eight mil meadow and a seventy five pound Commonage in Potopauge quarter Also hee hath given unto his son the one half of his stock of Cattle Cow kind and the one half of his swine and the one half of his sheep and one half of his horses. Also hee hath given unto his son a considerable quantity of his household stuffe his bedding pewter and brass and other necessaries needful for housekeeping with cart and wheels, plow, harrow and other implements of husbandry of the carrying on of his husbandry occupations as doth more fully appear in every particular by a deed of gift under the said Robert LAY seniors his hand and seale bearing date with this record September the seventeenth one thousand six hundred and eighty.

Sometime after the signing sealing and deliver of this deed of gift the said Robert LAY senior thought mute [meete] and after his decease doth give unto his son Robert LAY the other half of his houseing barn and lands specified in the deed of gift to him and his heires and assigns forever.

Lands of Capt John FENNER in Potopauge Quarter laid out by Deacon William PARKER & Joseph PRATT sen'r is as followeth, first lands taken of from the Deep River plaine to Pattocounk WRIGHT: which all the Quarter Ingaged tomake good on both sides of Deep River as is upon Record now laid out by Deacon PARKER & Joseph PRATT sen'r first bound is a wallnut tree in the first Deep River plaine against a swampie pond leaving a highway between the swamp and the pond: from thence over the Deep River to a hammock of rocks on the east leaving the Country highway on the west, a black oake Tree marked on the west side the way from thence to the ilbae of the Deep River that runs up north then turns away west from thence at that corner over the Deep River a straight line westward to a black oak tree above the falles marked JF Then south over the Deep River by a tree that lyeth over the Deep River: from thence to Mr. BUCKINGHAM's Northwest Corner & runs a straight line from thence along by his line East untill it comes to his northeast Corner: from thence runs south by his line untill it comes to a Black Oake tree marked T.B: JF by his east line Southward: Then eastward to the first Bounded Wallnut tree in the South Deep River Palin

All their lands in Saybrook which was formerly John POST's alienated by him unto Robert LAY and by Robert LAY unto John DENISON and by John DENISON & his wife unto John TULLY his heirs and assigns for ever.

To wit eight acres be it more or less lying and being in a field commonly called or know by the name of the Calves pasture, of upland and meadow. Bounded on the west with the land of Francis BUSHNELL, and on the east with the land of Thomas DUNK, and on the north with a creek, and on the south with the highway, and also Twenty Acres of upland & meadow lying and being in the field called the plating field be it more or less Bounded on the west with the lands of Thomas DUNKE and on the north with the land of Francis BUSHNELL & John CHAPMAN and on the eat with the Cove, and on the south with a creek that runneth into the Cove and also a hundred pound Right in the oxpasture and a hundred and fifty pound Right in the town Commons of Saybrooke as also a hundred pound right in Oyster river quarter with ten acres of land to be laid out of the first division as more fully doth appear by a deed of sale under the said John DENISON & his wives their hands and seales bearing date with this record.
